The client had had a basal cell carcinoma (ectoderm) on his right lower lip for around 5 years. The dermatologist urgently advised surgery, which the client refused and turned to me.

The handedness could not be determined. And so we initially assumed a partner conflict as well as a mother/child conflict.

As the client had not been in a relationship for more than 5 years, we checked whether the reason was the lack of kissing. The association with the lower lip on the right suggests this in a right-handed person (handedness unclear). No result.

The mother had died 7 years earlier, so this could not be a cause of conflict, also because the relationship was not strained.

The client's daughter lives in the same house with her dog. The relationship with the daughter is good. The relationship with the daughter's boyfriend is described as difficult.

The client went for regular walks with the dog and developed a very close, sometimes physical relationship. He liked having his face licked by the dog. Yes, there are people who do this and like it.

About 5 years ago, the client took the dog for a walk late in the evening - the dog ran off and could no longer be found. Upset, the customer called his daughter, who was at a party with her boyfriend, and told her that the dog had run away.

The daughter immediately broke off the party with her boyfriend and came home upset. The customer was already waiting for them and they discussed how they could find the dog again, who came home very happy at that moment. The flutter faded.

So far, the story had ended well.

The daughter's friend then forbade the client to handle the dog. This ban remained in place until the time we worked together, even after the daughter broke up with her boyfriend shortly afterwards.

So there were no more meetings for my client with the dog, no more walks and, above all, no more licking his face.

I explained to him that it was probably a local conflict and we resolved it. Part of the solution was that he spoke to his daughter about his situation with the dog and she allowed him to have contact with the dog again from then on. He is now taking the dog for walks again and also has him back in his apartment on an hourly basis.

Over time, the basal cell carcinoma slowly receded and the beard grew back through the basal cell carcinoma.
